Medicube Zero Pore SA Clear Capsule Cleansing Foam is a second-cleanse foam containing AHA, BHA and PHA alongside physical exosome capsules. It is the water-based half of the Zero Pore double cleanse — the step that follows an oil cleanser and clears what remains. The capsules provide a light physical buff while the acids work chemically, and Medicube reports 99.7% removal of pore-clogging impurities in its testing.

Why the acids in a cleanser still count

This is the detail most people miss, and it is the single most useful thing to know about this product. A cleanser containing AHA, BHA and PHA is still an exfoliating product, even though it is on your skin for under a minute and then rinsed away.

Contact time is short, so it is far milder than a leave-on acid — but it is not zero. If you use this foam every evening and acid pads two or three times a week and an exfoliating moisturiser, you are exfoliating far more than you think. That accumulation is the most common reason people end up with a compromised barrier while believing each individual product is gentle.

The salicylic acid is the important one here: it is oil-soluble, so it travels into the pore lining rather than just working on the surface. That is what makes it effective against blackheads. The capsules add a light physical polish — noticeably gentler than a traditional scrub, but still a mechanical action, so let them work without pressure.

Why double cleansing matters in Kuwait

Sunscreen here is a daily necessity and is formulated to resist sweat and water — which is precisely what makes it hard to remove. A water-based foam alone will not clear it. Oil first to dissolve sunscreen, sebum and makeup; then this foam to remove everything left behind. Skipping the first step leaves residue in pores overnight, which is one of the most common causes of congestion in people who otherwise have a careful routine.

    How to use it

    1. Cleanse with an oil firstZero Pore Blackhead Deep Cleansing Oil on dry skin, emulsified and rinsed.
    2. Take a small amount of the foam and lather it between wet palms.
    3. Massage gently over damp skin for 30–60 seconds, concentrating on the nose and chin. Do not scrub — let the capsules and acids do the work.
    4. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Hot water strips the barrier.
    5. Follow immediately with toner and moisturiser so skin does not sit bare.

    How often

Once daily in the evening suits most oily and combination skin. If your skin is dry, sensitive, or you are already using acid pads, use it three or four evenings a week and a gentle non-acid cleanser on the others. Tightness after rinsing is a signal to reduce, not something to push through.

On nights you use Zero Pore Pad 2.0 or Zero Pore One Day Serum, consider a plain cleanser instead — those are already strong exfoliation steps.

    Frequently asked questions

How do you use the Medicube Zero Pore capsule cleansing foam?

Lather a small amount between wet palms, massage over damp skin for 30–60 seconds focusing on congested areas, then rinse with lukewarm water. Use it as your second cleanse in the evening, after an oil cleanser.

Can I use it every day?

Most oily and combination skin can use it nightly. If your skin is dry or you also use acid pads, limit it to three or four evenings a week to avoid over-exfoliating.

    What is it good for?

Blackheads, excess oil, congested pores and rough texture. The salicylic acid works inside the pore while the capsules gently polish the surface.

Can I use it in the morning too?

It is better kept to evenings. Overnight your skin only accumulates sebum and sweat, which a gentle cleanser handles — and using an acid cleanser twice a day is more exfoliation than most skin needs.

Does it dry the skin out?

It should not when used correctly, but tightness after rinsing means it is too frequent for your skin. Reduce to a few times a week and always follow with toner and moisturiser.

Is it enough on its own, without an oil cleanser?

Not if you wear sunscreen or makeup. Water-based cleansers cannot fully dissolve either. Use an oil first, then this.

    Are the capsules abrasive?

They are much gentler than a traditional scrub, but they are still a physical exfoliant. Massage lightly rather than pressing — the acids are doing most of the work.

    Does Medicube really shrink pores?

It clears the sebum and dead skin stretching pores open, which makes them look meaningfully smaller. Pore size itself is largely genetic and cannot be permanently changed by any topical product.
