Medicube Zero Foam Cleanser is a 120g daily face wash from the Zero Pore range, made to clean thoroughly and control oil without leaving skin tight. It is the simplest, most everyday cleanser in the Zero line-up — the one you reach for morning and night, whatever else is in your routine.

What it is, and what it is not

This is a straightforward, well-made daily cleanser rather than a treatment. It is worth being clear about that up front: it will not, on its own, shrink pores or clear breakouts. What it does is the fundamental job of a cleanser — remove oil, sweat, sunscreen residue and the day's grime — comfortably and without stripping.

In a good routine, that is exactly what you want the cleanser to do. The active work happens in the leave-on steps that follow; the cleanser's job is to prepare a clean surface without damaging the barrier. Judged on that, this is a solid, no-drama option.

    What the ingredient list shows

The published formula is a softened soap-type cleanser: fatty acids (myristic, palmitic, stearic, lauric) reacted with potassium hydroxide to create the foam, then blended with gentler surfactants — potassium cocoyl glycinate and sodium cocoyl isethionate — that take the harshness off a pure soap base.

    • Glycerin and sorbitol high in the list — humectants that stop the wash from feeling stripping.
    • Soothing botanicals — purslane (portulaca), camellia flower, wintergreen leaf, saponaria and orange flower extracts, which add a calming character.
    • A vitamin E-type antioxidant (dimethylmethoxy chromanol) — a minor, pleasant extra.

    Two honest notes

First, this is a soap-based cleanser. Softened as it is, it still cleanses more thoroughly and runs a touch more alkaline than a low-pH gel. Normal, combination and oily skin generally love the clean feeling; very dry or easily irritated skin may prefer a gentler gel cleanser.

Second, it contains fragrance (listed as parfum, with limonene and hydroxycitronellal among the components). Most people have no problem with it, but if you are fragrance-sensitive it is worth knowing before you buy.

    How to use it

    1. Wet your face with lukewarm water — not hot, which strips more than any cleanser.
    2. Work a small amount into a lather in wet hands.
    3. Massage over the face for twenty to thirty seconds, spending a little longer on the oilier central zone.
    4. Rinse thoroughly and apply toner while skin is still damp.

Frequency: twice daily. In the evening, if you wear sunscreen or makeup, cleanse first with an oil cleanser and follow with this — a single foaming wash does not fully remove sunscreen on its own.

Which Medicube cleanser should you choose?

    Cleanser Choose it for Feel
Zero Foam Cleanser Simple, comfortable daily cleansing Soft foam, clean finish
Zero Pore SA Clear Capsule Cleansing Foam Oily, congested, blackhead-prone skin Deeper cleanse, salicylic
PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser Dry or sensitive skin wanting a low-pH gel Gentle gel
Zero Pore Blackhead Deep Cleansing Oil First cleanse for makeup and sunscreen Oil

Choose this as your everyday second cleanse if your skin is normal to oily. If you are congested and want more from the wash, the SA Clear foam does more; if you are dry or sensitive, the gel cleanser is gentler. Pair it with the Zero Pore Toner to continue the routine. Frequently asked questions

Will it shrink my pores or clear breakouts?

No — and no cleanser genuinely does, because it is rinsed off too quickly to treat anything. Its job is to clean the skin comfortably without stripping it. Pore care and breakout treatment come from the leave-on steps that follow, such as the Zero Pore pads, toner and serums.

Is it good for oily skin?

Yes. As a softened soap-based cleanser it gives the clean, fresh finish that oily and combination skin tends to prefer, while the glycerin and botanicals stop it feeling stripping.

Is it suitable for dry or sensitive skin?

It can be, but very dry or easily irritated skin sometimes prefers a low-pH gel cleanser, which is milder than any soap-based formula. The PDRN Hydrating Gel Cleanser is the gentler option in the range.

    Does it contain fragrance?

Yes, it is fragranced. Most people tolerate it well, but if you are fragrance-sensitive, choose an unscented cleanser instead and patch test this one first.

Does it remove makeup and sunscreen?

Not completely on its own. Use an oil cleanser or balm first in the evening, then this as your second cleanse. In the morning, this alone is enough.

Can I use it twice a day?

Yes. It is designed for morning and evening use. If your skin ever feels tight, you may be using water that is too hot or cleansing too vigorously rather than the product being at fault.

Can I use it with retinol and exfoliating acids?

Yes. Because it rinses off, it is compatible with any leave-on actives you apply afterwards, and a non-stripping cleanser is exactly what you want alongside those.

How long will a 120g tube last?

Used twice daily at a normal amount, most people get around two to three months from it.
