Why choose the pad over the toner

These two are frequently confused because the names are so similar, so here is the distinction in one line: the toner calms, the pad calms and exfoliates.

The pad exists for a specific and very common problem — skin that is simultaneously sensitive and congested. That combination is awkward, because the usual answer to blackheads is an assertive acid, and assertive acids are exactly what reactive skin cannot take. Pairing mild exfoliation with a heavily heartleaf-based liquid is a reasonable attempt to thread that needle.

The physical side matters too

These pads are textured on one side and smooth on the other. The textured side gives a light mechanical sweep that lifts loosened dead skin; the smooth side is for a gentler pass or for the delicate areas. Use the textured side with almost no pressure.
