It is worth being straight about this: shampoo is a cleanser. Its job is to lift oil, sweat and product buildup off the scalp and hair, and almost all of it goes down the drain. No shampoo repairs damage in the structural sense, because damaged hair is protein and cuticle that has physically broken, and rinse-off cleansing does not rebuild it.

What a well-formulated shampoo does do is decide how much moisture your hair still has when the treatment step begins. Harsh, high-sulphate cleansers strip the hair's natural lipids and leave the cuticle rough and porous, so the conditioner or mask that follows spends its effort just getting you back to neutral. Is this shampoo sulphate-free?

Fino does not market this as a sulphate-free product, and it does produce a full lather. It is formulated to be gentler than a basic clarifying shampoo, but if you specifically need a sulphate-free wash for keratin-treated hair, check the ingredient list on the bottle before buying.

Can I use it every day?

Yes. It is designed for daily use. That said, most dry or damaged hair does better washed every two to three days — the less often you strip the lengths, the more moisture stays in them.

Do I need the conditioner and the mask, or just one?

Just one. They both do the same job of conditioning the hair after washing. The mask is the richer, more intensive option and the reason the range is famous; the conditioner is the lighter everyday alternative. Using both in the same wash is redundant.
