Why the moisturiser step is the one that matters

Every hydrating product before this one — essence, serum, toner — draws water toward the skin's surface. None of them keep it there. That's the moisturiser's job, and it's the step people most often skip or under-apply. In Kuwait's air-conditioned interiors, where indoor humidity runs low, an unsealed hydrating routine can genuinely leave skin drier than a simpler one, because humectants pull water that then evaporates.

Yes — they do different jobs. The essence draws hydration into the skin; the cream seals it in. Using the essence alone, especially in air conditioning, means much of that hydration evaporates.

Is it heavy enough for very dry skin?
